FAQs

We see a lot of websites for companies using the “TeamBuilders WorldWide” name in their titles. Is TeamBuilders WorldWide a national franchise?
No, there is only one national trademark available and Good Throws Inc. dba TeamBuilders WorldWide (that’s us) has the application for that. We are proud to say that we are the only TeamBuilders WorldWide.

We are concerned about the physical exertion and safety issues of doing a ropes course program. Are you a ropes course company?
Excellent question! Although we own and have access to several ropes course facilities, it is just one of the tools we may select in a program design. It depends on the desired outcomes and objectives of the each client. Most of our programs include our more cognitive Mobile Learning Initiatives and maybe some Measurement and Assessment. Although they are exciting, high-level ropes course challenges are used in about 5% of our program designs.

Where have you delivered your programs?
We deliver programs all over the country and internationally, so we can deliver anywhere in the world. The TeamBuilders WorldWide Action Learning Center is located at the Mission Inn Resort & Club.  Check out our venues page if you are looking for ideas on interesting resorts in other locations.  http://teambuilders.ehclients.com/index.php/services/venues/

How do you determine the desired outcomes or objectives for a program?
When conducting a needs assessment, we ask two fundamental questions:
What are some of the dynamics impacting this team right now? Whether it’s a merger or acquisition, economics change in the financial situation, change in leadership or whatever might be going on, what can you tell us?

  • Let’s take a “Covey” (Stephen Covey) approach by beginning with the end in mind. What does a successful program look like to you? What are your folks walking away with and what are the applications to be brought back to your business?
  • Once we have this information we can then go back and select the tools, activities and program design that will achieve these goals. Sometimes we interview participants and sometimes we use the FiveSTAR Team Performance Indicator as a diagnostic.

What are the most common types of programs your clients ask you to design?
We find ourselves designing programs at three tiers of development:
If our clients are having a conference (e.g. a sales conference), many times we are asked to come in and design a 4 or 6 hour session that supports the theme or content of the conference.

Often we are asked to attend a conference and be part of the break out sessions. Fun, yet tangible, learning sessions are provided to break up the didactic presentations.
The great majority of our work is in partnership with our clients to design and deliver organizational performance programs that will create measurable results. These are the roll up your sleeves, let’s get at the issues sessions, both for leadership and team development.
