The second Team Building Seminar was conducted at the Pasadena ISD Police Department, Pasadena, Texas, on Thursday, August 13, 2009, to address issues faced by the Administrative Staff of the Pasadena Independent School District Police Department.

The challenges we faced can be summarized as follows:

  • Employee unrest and uncertainty following transition in patrol supervision.
  • “A Team” and “B Team” mentality.
  • Disappointment of applicants who were not successful in the promotion process.
  • Internal friction between officers.
  • Unresolved conflict.

Team Builders coordinators were very skillful in the following areas:

  • Quickly led group into an intervention atmosphere.
  • Identifying employees in need of an attitude adjustment.
  • Guiding the group in the desired direction.
  • Tactfully separated the group into manageable units based on apparent need.
  • Led specific group into and out of an intense intervention.

Accomplishments of this TeamBuilders WorldWide Seminar:

  • The consensus of opinion from the entire group was very positive.
  • Deep-seated Issues and negative attitudes were identified and exposed.
  • Resolution to several issues was achieved.
  • Relations in the workplace were improved.
  • Attitudes were generally improved.

The seminar presented by TeamBuilders WorldWide was an excellent venue to address the challenges we faced. The proficiency and professionalism of the representatives of TeamBuilders was apparent and most appreciated.
