Nick Conner took the helm and chaired the annual golf tournament held on the Copperhead Golf Course at the Westin Innisbrook Resort.

The event raised $24,000 and Nick’s blood pressure as his team finished last.

Colette Peterson was reading a local business publication when a non-business story caught her eye. She reached for the phone and explained an idea to Shelley Breiner of Kids Wish Network. Breiner saw the possibilities as well, and a partnership was formed.

The result of that phone call was Team Wish Challenge III – Mission Possible on May 31, 2003, at TeamBuilders WorldWideOutdoor Learning Center in Florida.

In all, around 200 corporate participants, representing about 20 of the Tampa Bay area’s best-known companies, came together to raise more than $275,000 for the children who are served by Kids Wish Network programs.

The Leadership Through Education model provides the foundation for accomplishing program goals. James Evans was a pleasure to work with and when the hurricanes started to impede transportation to Florida, James and Nick were on the phones walking through presentations and emailing write ups to deliver the opening and a team development component on the last day. Wow! We pulled it off.
